A Letter From The President
Hi, my name is Hali’a Kahanu. I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve as the President of Delta Zeta. I am originally from Los Angeles, CA and I am a rising senior majoring in Social Work and Political Science with a minor in Sociology on the Pre-Track. From the moment I became a Delta Zeta, the women in our chapter have encouraged, guided, and helped me push the boundaries of what I believed was possible for myself. This sisterhood welcomed me with open arms, and it allowed me to meet the most genuine, kind-hearted girls who are now my best friends. Delta Zeta has given me a community in which I find belonging and purpose. The friendships and connections that I have made in Delta Zeta are ones that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
As you go into recruitment at the University of Alabama, remember to be yourself and appreciate every moment. It can be a crazy week, but it is also an amazing opportunity to meet some of your best friends in the Panhellenic community and make some incredible memories. I am so happy that I made the decision to go through the recruitment process, and I truly believe it has impacted my life in the most positive way. I hope you also have an incredible experience, and that you choose to Burn Brighter Than The Rest!
