Thank you for being my home away from home from the second I walked into the door the first round of recruitment. Thank you for being the house that always wanted me back and made me feel so loved. Although recruitment is hard, stressful, and overwhelming thank you for being the house I could walk into and instantly be myself. Thanks for all the friendships that never would have been possible without you.
Coming to school 13 hours away from home made it seem almost impossible to find friend, but once I joined Delta Zeta I found friends from all over the country, with some only an hour away from my hometown. For me, I knew going Greek was what I wanted in my college experience and this house has been everything I desired in a sisterhood and more. From movie nights, to study dates, and late night Krispy Kreme runs, I never would've imagined all of this would've come from a stressful week of recruitment.
Thank you for giving me my best friends and the opportunities of a lifetime. Without the help of my fellow Delta Zeta sisters, I never would've been as involved on campus or focused on my future. From leadership positions in Delta Zeta to endless other opportunities around campus, thanks for helping me grow from a girl to a young woman. Thank you for always being my shoulder to cry on when I've had a bad day and especially for the endless supply of coffee and late night snacks during finals week.
Most importantly, thank you for bringing me to my best friends in the world and being my home away from home. As cliche as it sounds, the girls I've met through this amazing sisterhood I'm confident will not only be my friends for life but the bridesmaids in my wedding and the ones I'll run around the nursing home with.
From the first day of rush to every single day in this house I know this is my home and my family. Thank you for being everything I needed and wanted when coming to Alabama. You've given me the sisters I've always wanted in my life and truly make me into a better person everyday.
